GUI Freeze - MP still running !! big problem (1 Viewer)

You problem seems to be corrupted database (ie: "Gentle.Common.GentleException: show columns from `program` ---> MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Table '.\mptvdb\program' is marked as crashed and should be repaired").

My advise to you would be to delete the DB and let them be recreated. To be on the very safe side I'd say a new, clean install would be a good idea. Perhaps a dev or tester can come with better advice, but considering that it seems that you're giving up, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I hope you find something that works for you. You're always welcome to try MP again .

DB ?

I have som many servers and installs on this computer, that I think the only way to get a Clean install is maybe to format C:
Reinstall W7 maybe ?

I have some HomeSeer home automation installed, My Movies server, X10 service.. etc...
Maybe this is causing some errors ?

btw: reason I have no TV now is that NO channel is mapped to any card ??
How could that happen..
I cant choose my TV card anymore

how do I MAP channel to card ?

If you no longer have a TV tuner listed in the mapping menu then please first restart the TV service (in the "manual control" section of TV Server configuration click "stop service"... then "start service") and also restart TV Server configuration. If there are still no tuner showing in the mapping section then please post new log files. The previous set of log files showed a serious problem with your database - if that was not resolved by following the previous instructions then it could continue to cause problems like this. The only way to confirm whether the database is okay now that is with those new log files...

Hi there,

Your DB corruption seems fixed, but you have some strange things happening within the DB.

Looks like you have two servers (hostnames) defined in the DB?? (Devs - Is this the right understanding from the error logs??)

As a side note, it looks like you have an incompatible plugin installed (which will be automatically disabled) - HTPCInfo

I had mediacenter before, running with DVBviewer..
think I have stopped DVB service from running ?

Maybe all this old configs, and installs make MP to a mess..
To be true (my) MediaPortal is just some crap.. (sorry to say)
There is always bugs, freeze, skins that dont work etc..

I dont want to blame MP, because I think the GUI and the system seems allot better than Windows MCE.
Anyway, no matter how sweets it seems... it have to work !!!

anyway, I dont think I will take up your time (thank you btw) to fix this mess.
There is no problem for me to just clean up the entire HTPC, and re-install W7 .

A fresh start will at least freeze out the other options that can cause any problems

I'd concur with you Jay. The fix could have been relatively simple.

If you have problems with MP then *please* report them. There is no way for us to improve if you don't tell us that there is a problem. People are always willing to help.
