H E X A G O N Pre Beta Release (1 Viewer)

Okay i decided to make available a pre beta release
of this skin.

Some gfx elements are still left to be finished so elements
that are blue or green etc dont report it.

Im interested in feedback on general behavior and feel.
Also all the TV stuff would be nice to test.

I have put down so many hours with this skin that my girlfriend soon
will leave me and my work goes to waste

In some days i gonna try to release a beta release with all gfx work
100% finished. From there i will need feedback on bugs etc.

NB! I dont want this download link anywhere else that in this forum thread.
Please dont link from other sites. This is a pre beta only intended for
users that are interested in this forum thread.

All feedback in this post please, and this skin is never
tested on an actual tv

Very nice indeed!

But:
- The mytrailer.xml file is missing (yet) and
- the news (MyNews) are hard to read (white text on grey ground).

The design is awesome but if its gonna be all grey it might look a little plain. I thought what might look cool if only certain elements had some colour (like in the movie Sin City if youve seen that?).

Also your background, in the homescreen if the cursor is off the menu you loose the top and bottom border. Perhaps add the border to the background file and make another background file for the rest of the screens?

Hi,
I like the skin, maybe little light when using on TV. Will have a look this evening when it’s dark outside.
Can you update the musicOverlay, description “music logo†(change #thumb with #Play.Current.Thumb) and “album/artist/genre etc info label†(change #title\r#artist\r#album\r#duration with #Play.Current.Title\r#Play.Current.Artist\r#Play.Current.Album\r#Play.Current.Duration), so it will fit the new CVS.

Okay gonna do the changes to fit new cvs.

The idea is cool with some colours like in sin city

But first i gonna finish 100% on current look.
Also i hope that when i release the art psd package maybe
some others can do mods of the original. Like maybe a darker
look total and more colours some places. That would be little work
compeared to creating a skin from scratch

Im dedicated to complete the rest. Also changing the home screen with borders on background will be done. So that borders dont go away.
Though on my cvs the dont go away if focus is of. maybe i need to update my cvs build

Okay done some more work. I have updated
the skin files so you can just
download the same files from the same link.

In a few days this skin is gonna be released in beta version.
After that i will tweak some more and release it officially
