I have tested SVN 23525 (fix included). It does not work. Mediaportal still crashes and I have two Matroska splitter icons displayed. I was running Mediaportal in Windowed mode so I was able to check the icons during playback. After playing and stopping a MKV file the Haali icon still remains. After starting another MKV a second icon is displayed. After stopping the video the second icon disappears - the first icon still remains and I can still switch between the audio and subtitle track even their is no video playing! The graph is still running and was not released. After starting some other MKV Mediaportal crashes. Tested with Vista SP2, MPC H264-decoder with EVR.
