Haali not disposed after stopping video (1 Viewer)

Hi @all,

can anyone seen this or have solution?

Problem is, that it seems, that MP is not disposing Haali splitter resources after stopping video, leaving instance within memory (Haali icon displayed in task bar for every played video). After closing MP, these icons dissapears.

Is this a known expected behaviour, or a bug? I can imagine that some line of code is missing ;-)

Thanks

Regards

T.

    Do you use external players?
Code itself is working nicely and does dispose haali like all other filters nicely here.

I'm using MP internal player. Codecs are disposed, but not haali and I don't know why. Is there something I can check? This behaviour is in all versions of MP since last many months, even with 21864 build.

Does those icons disapear when doing following:

    1) run MP in windowed mode
    2) play .mkv file
    3) stop playback
    4) hover mouse over the haali tray icon

No, it doesn't dissapear. After playing more videos, I can even click those Haali icons and see subtitiles selection, etc... After closing MP, icons dissapears after hovering over.

I am using Haali Version 1.9.42.1 - which is yours?
Did you maybe enable thumbnail generation?

my version is from date 11/01/2009 (latest) and I'm not aware of this thumbnails settings. Is this MP feature? I'm using IMDB for movie thumbs.

Nope - it's a haali feature which is asked for during the installation. You can (and most likely should) disable it in Haali's config properties (to avoid e.g. file locking, explorer malfunction, etc).

Ok, thanks. I'll check that but I haven't selected this during setup, so if it isn't selected by default, problem is somewhere else.

I have same problem, when i close MP i have lots of Haali icons in the system tray
When i hover over them they disappear. Havn't tried hovering over them when MP is still running.
Havn't check if they take up memory or not yet either.
This only seems to happen when MP loads haali, if haali is used by other media players it closes properly.
