I am new to Mediaportal and am looking for some general help in making bitstream audio work. I have installed the latest version of MP and all seems to work well with one minor issue. Using the default decoders (MPC) i can play back movies (VOB's) without any difficulty but the audio, acording to my receiver, is PCM. If I switch the decoders to the Microsoft decoders</p><p>that are present from the default MP install, my receiver will display dolby digital and everything appears to be working. However,</p><p>if I press any button the MCE remote, the playback seizes and the computer hangs and requires a power down to recover.
