Great work on these! In MP 1.3 we'll have skin theme support built in so you;ll be able to create as many themes for a skin as one would want and be able to switch themes using your remote..

Hi all,

Themes are a core part of mp usable by all skins. I see themes being able to extend existing skins quite easily by allowing skinners to focus on only delta changes rather than a whole skin. Using themes for holiday variants is a great idea. There is even enough capability to have mp automatically choose a theme based on the calendar!

For those with access to the feature branch you can start using it all right now. I'm looking for testers ;-)

Looking forward to creative uses of themes!

I added this Christmas theme to the Default(Wide) skins in my latest update as the first "officially supported theme" for MediaPortal Please see https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/area-51-testing-area-552/skin-engine-enhancements-themes-guide-colors-skin-functions-weather-settings-103616/#post821670

Try it out to see how you like the themes implementation.

Are these skin files still working well for those who want a xmas theme, but are still using 1.2.3? Has anyone tested these recently?

Yup, this mod for DefaultWide is still working OK on 1.2.3, I'm using it again this year
