Can someone confirm for me if the following confirmed bug...

(which relates to the taskbar not being hidden under windows 8) has or is being worked on or fixed? It is driving me mad!!!

If someone wants logs please let me know (if the fix just involves simple file replacement or updating then I am happy to test too.
