Has there been any progress of Anysee E7 S2 CI CAM Support ? (1 Viewer)

I have given MediaPortal 1.6 a test drive to see is there any improvements over the last version I tried. I have given up on the 1.3 version because of slow channel change with a SSD it has slightly improved however still not as fast as change in WMC. I have been noticing while testing that MediiaPortal struggles with channels that have a weaker signal.

I have been trying to get the Anysee E7 S2 Card with Irdeto II CAM to work but it doesn't decrypt the channels. In WMC I have to run the CNO in order to decrypt and that runs nearly perfectly. I have tried uninstalling the driver and this time in installing the driver again I selected the DVB-T. In CNO settings I have set up the satellite and in MediaPortal I have selected the DVB-T MCE device and it goes through the scan finds the channels however when I watch it is just black screen I think it has scrambled however the free to air channels work.

I think that in version 1.3 there was a driver that I was provided through a forum and it did work.

unlikely that MP is the cause here, more the driver or the card itself has problems here...

I don't know about TVE3, but TVE3.5 will have cam support according to the Git source:

Regarding the channel speed change I read on the forums about ssd and ramdisk and so I created a ram disk drive and the channel change speed is roughly the same now with WMC. It is interesting that in the wiki says that it won't speed up channel change speed I disagree. I made a number of recordings and a number of channel changes until I just got a blank screen and then I had to restart mediaportal app. So I will do more testing and more reading on the forums just in case a wrong setting if it happens again I will create a new thread and post the logs.

FreakyJ thanks for the link I will do more reading on the forums and do more testing if WMC can decrypt the channels with CNO running not sure why mediaportal cannot.
