hauppage 150 & component in not working (1 Viewer)

Newbie to this.

I have a hauppage 150 and have to use component in for receiving signal from satbox. But no signal will show in mp. The signal show fine in VistaCE. MP finds the card but after channel searched at trying to set it up with CVB it doesent show anything.

Please help

Since you are not stating anything, I asume that you are using TVE2 ("default" TVE).

If you are using composite (s-video is better, you know...) then there is no need to searc for channels.

This is what you do:

1. - Open setup / mediaportal configuration
2. - Televison -> Channels -> Hit: Add
3. -- General tab: Enter name
4. -- External tab: Select "Received by ext. STB", input via CVHS (#1 I guess?) - enter channel on STB
5. - Channel vilbe listed as channel 250001/(STB ch.no.)
6. Repeat
7. Repeat
8. Repeat

....

That did the trick

Thanks. Now i got the signal. Only thing left to say is that the signal made by VistaMC is far better than what MP and hauppage dig. The MP signal seems to make the system miss about 10% of the live recording which make people move funny.

There are lots of things to make picture better.
See setup:
Try switching codec. Please fill out you system in profiel, and I might be able to give you directions
- In general: CyberLink and InterVideo are good - or PureVideo (nVidia)
You can also enable EVR (since you are running Vista) - note that this is experimental!
Please experiment with setup and read wiki.

You can also disable noise in quality control
