hauppage remote/ir receiver with MP? (1 Viewer)

Hey Nikos...I loaded the IR32 driver from the disc ...and changed to Microsoft remote again
and it all seems to be working...
I have just finished playing in Moving Pictures and MP TVseries ...and the various
buttons like play, pause, fast forward, fastrewind , all the arrows, volume , mute
etc ...well they all work! Yaaahoo!!

So thanks for your help !...much appreciated!

I obviously have to do more testing...but this is great

...and the XBOX 360 universal remote also works!!...with this IR receiver!
....it needs some tweaking to get some of the keys to work...correctly
but it works ..and it has back lighting unlike the original happauge remote!

So a long weekend is ahead tweakin all the remote keys and the
various menus in Moving pictures and MP TV series..

Thats great,but realy strage why the receiver didnt work like a native mce device and need the ir32 to work.But anyway you find the way to make it work, thats the point

yeah...I am not sure if I need the IR32 driver...
I will remove that and try and see if it still works on the weekend.

the trouble is this is the first time I have tried ...seriously setting up a HTPC with Mediaportal
so its all new for me..

I may have ticked some box which interfered with the microsoft remote setting...
but your tips helped with getting me in the right direction ...so thanks again
