Message: <blockquote data-quote="mdbarber" data-source="post: 402804" data-attributes="member: 46710">The windows util is only necessary to get mp to recognise the remote is there on setup, once mp is setup it can be done away with if u like, never made much diff except occasional error mesgs.found removing all key definitions for other haup remotes from the hauppauge.xml file made a huge difference in reliability of this remote if u need i can post a copy of the altered file.</blockquote>
