With the latest drivers from Hauppauge, the digital tuners QAM/ATSC are not recognized. They were previousely recognized using v7.4 of the drivers. There does not seem to be any reference to why this happends in the log files. This issue was reported by several users in various threads:

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tv-cards-333/hauppauge-wintv-hvr-2250-a-43346/index3.html

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tv-cards-333/hauppauge-wintv-hvr-2250-no-digital-problem-60755/
(they have problems in Windows 7 though)

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ppauge-hvr-2250-no-digital-windows-7-a-66289/
(I have tried exactly the same steps with the same outcome).

It looks like Hauppauge has changed the specs of the drivers from 7.4 to 7.6.

Thank you.

That sounds like they have broken bda conventions to try to get them to work with Windows 7.

So your saying that version 7.4 actually works fine, just not newer version\s, so we are absolutely sure on this.

    Hi.

I have posted in a couple of the threads mentioned above and am interested in this problem. I have version 7.6.1.27086 of the Hauppauge driver on Windows XP with both digital and analog tuners working. This isn't the newest version (7.6.1.27118) mentioned above, but it is close. Not sure if this helps. If I have time this weekend I will try the newer driver.

I hate to post the same thing in multiple threads

but, I really don't want to my information getting missed because I posted in the less active thread, and it seems like there are 5 threads on this:

    sorry:

I tried them on Win 7 x32 and it found no hardware, ran it on win 7 x64 and it found no hardware. the drivers that come with it 7118 install fine. I am wondering if it installs correctly though? When I go into device manager I see only 1 card - Hauppauge WinTV - HVR-2250(8891)

Is this consistent with everyone else? I read all about setting it up in sage, but wanted to see if it's like this for others or do others see 2 cards?

    Thanks!

    ::UPDATED::
I spoke to another HVR-2250 owner and he is not positive, but he is pretty sure his device manager only shows 1 card as well. He, however, uses sageTV and it recognizes all 4 tuners. This is starting to sound like a media portal problem. I really don't want to go back to SageTV I suppose I could use media portal for everything except TV, but I would really like to just dump it all together.....

Does anyone have any ideas? I saw another thread about possible bonding something to BDA or something like that? Could that fix this issue?
