Sorry for stupid questions. I tried to record my video using MP and I saw my records are in dvr-ms format - approximately 40Mb per min. As I know PVR150 has hardware mpeg2 encoder and I can store records directly in mpg files. But I could't found how to set-up it. :sorry:

MyTV records in M$'s dvr-ms (mpeg2 wrapped, so your HW works) format, you cannot change this, but it is very easy to strip the wrapper.

Have a look when you are running TV, in your recorded folder, there is a option to compress to mpeg, but you will lose all program info from that file.

TVE3, however records in ts\mpeg format anyway.

As I understand my recorded video must be compressed directly inside capture (PVR150) device - no need any external conversation. May be resulted mpeg can be wrapped into drv-ms format but in any case it can not be 40Mb per minute. Or I am wrong? 40 mb/min * 120 min (average movie duration) = 4800Mb - approximately DVD mpeg2 size. Is it right? And after that I can convert this dvr-ms to plain DVD? Sorry for my questions - it my first tries to use it.
    Thanks for an answer.

    Hi Fraddy

I don’t fully understand your question, but mpeg2 will average between 20-to-70mb/min..... depending mainly on which "Resolution" and "Audio bitrate" you are recording at.
