Hi,
I have a couple of quality issues with analog TV with my setup.
1) Blocky/low quality mpeg encoding. The HVR-3000 produces good quality full screen TV with it's own WinTV application. However, fullscreen TV is very blocky with lots of mpeg artifacts. I suspect this is due to the softmce application required to get the HVR-3000 working in MediaPortal. Can softmce be configured to get higher quality or replaced with something else?
2) Stutter with live TV. At random times live TV gets very stuttery - both audio & video. Usually this is fixed by changing channels or rewinding a bit of the timeshift. (I can't test without timeshift as audio/video get out of sync even though I've installed AMD optimiser). I've tried every codec I can get my hands on but I can always make them stutter - usually rewind the timeshift a few seconds & then fast forward to the end a few times will get things stuttering after a few times. I don't think its Hdd related as if a rewind some stuttering TV it will playback fine from the timeshift buffer. I've installed the latest nvidia drivers & disabled AMD cool & quiet with no effect. Any pointers appreciated.
Thanks.
