[Hauppauge PVR USB2] Jerky TV : finaly not solve (1 Viewer)

Synopsis: No video and no sound in TV mode

After uninstalling 0.1.2, clean directory, reboot, install pre 0.1.3, run configuration wizard, run configuration, do the autotune process
In the autotune, no sound and no video, but the tuning is ok. (it found the channels)
In MediaPortal running, no video and no sound.

Work great in 0.1.2
for information : In CVS versions between 0.1.2 and pre0.1.3, TV is running for approximatively 4-5 secondes and then stop, doing a tuner on and then off give another 4-5 sec of viewing.

I have a second card, but not configure in pre0.1.3 for now.

Yes, I really do a clean install.

Since the first post, I configure my second tuner, an Hauppauge Nova DVB-T USB2. Tune is ok.

Watching TV : some DVB-T channel are ok, but some other are not : no sound and no video.
I'm looking furher in this case to try to found some difference. It is always the same channel that do no show something.

What I'm doing actually to identify something...
- leave MP in a working channel
- clean the log path
- start MP, start TV, exit MP
save the log...
- start mp, change to a ad channel, leave MP
- clean the log path
- start MP, start TV, exit MP
save the log...

with this, I'm doing a log comparaison, log by log...

Boris, let me guess: You're located in Germany?

For those channels which remain black on your DVB card, set the ac3pid to -1. Reason: In Germany, some providers are transmitting false information, which MP can't correct atm.

Win TV PVR usb2

Hi,

I copied the 1.2 version of MP to a second HD and did a clean install of OS and the new 1.3 version. I have a Hauppauge WinTv PVRusb2 and i get no image in My TV. I get some sound but it stutters. If i try the old version it works fine, nice picture and sound. But the 1.3 does not seem to work. Any sollutions for this problem?

Thing I've done:
- uninstall pre0.1.3
- reinstall 0.1.2
and... same problem now in 0.1.2

I solve the problem in 1.2 by going in configuration/capture card/device property/video capture device/setup and change the videobitrate to default/6 Mb.

After this success, happy I was... and remove 0.1.2, install pre0.1.3.
Same problem.... normal

Doing the same thing, héhé, now I know...
AAArgh....
In pre0.1.3 the value is set to 50.00 Mb ! And changing this is not save

I'm pretty sure that the problem is there... Someone know how to change this setting ?

I didn't try going back to 1.2, but did see the 50mb rate... which can't be changed..
Just checked the 7-3 cvs and no luck ther either..

damn this sucks, just bought this card so i could finally use MP to the max... (digimatrix tv card sucks... no timeshifting..)

I noticed that CaptureCardDefinitions.xml said the PVR2 isn't a MCE card.. which i believe it is..

I'm having the exact same problem and I think it's gotta be the 50 mbps bitrate. Could there be an option to select your bitrate, b/c I use my pvrusb2 with USB 1.1 and I need a bitrate of 2.0 Mbps. I'm guessing the bitrate is hardcoded based on the 50 mbps so an option in the gui to predefine the bitrate for this live TV would help alot. Thanks, James
