Hi All

I'm having this strange problem with my TV sound that I never used to have. I hear like a screeching noise on high pitch sounds. I don't have anything fancy, just my PC connected to my HiFi for analogue stereo sound. I use all the default sound settings on MP and my music, video and DVD sound works fine. It seams to be only happening with my TV-sound.... It is very annoying and I have no idea what is causing it. I think it appeared after the Hauppauge quality changes were implemented....could it be caused by the changes that were made?

Any ideas for solving this will be greatly appreciated

Hi

I've identified the problem and as most of you probably guessed it hardware related. For some reason my sound-output builds up some sort of static that generates these high-pitched sounding interference. When I touch the sound-plug it disappears for a few days, and seeing that my system runs more or less 24hours X 7days a week it never gets time to discharge. Is there anyone that can tell me why I’m getting this, it’s the first time I have ever experienced this type of thing with a computer?
