Hauppauge remote no longer works (1 Viewer)

I recently reinstalled media portal to update it to the latest version, I set everything up the same but my hauppauge 45 button remote control no longer works with media portal. I have the "use hauppauge remote" tick box selected under "remote" in the configuration window and everything. Should I just leave this default? because that is what it is now and it's not working.

Please help me

never mind, I must have bumped the tv card, it's working now
