Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1600 Not Recognized TV Tuner (1 Viewer)

I have a Hauppauge Win-TV HVR 1600 tuner that isn't recognized in MediaPortal, therefore, I can't use MediaPortal. Any suggestions on how to get MediaPortal to recognize my TV Tuner card? I'm running the latest drivers and programs for my TV Tuner card from Hauppauge (PCI), and version 0.2.2 MediaPortal. I also have WinXP SP2 latest with all the latest updates installed. I appreciate any help you can provide in getting this to work.

Their original release (0.2.2.0) was before the 1600 hit the market. Download either one of the 0.2.3.0 RC and you'll be going!

I am having this same problem and the new version still didn't pick it up.

I don't think support has been added to the built in TV server of MP... even on the latest versions. Please try the stand alone TVE3. I had a 1600 and both the analog and QAM options work. I was unable to test out the ATSC but it's pretty much the same as QAM.

Maybe you should tell us more... I personally am using this card and tune ATSC stations with ease. Once you load 2.3RC2, open the MP-Configuration and go to Capture Cards, select ADD and it will be there!

I also have this card. When I go to add it, it does not display video when I go to My TV. It displays a no signal detected message. I think support for this card needs some more work from a developer standpoint.

Hopefully, we will see this sometime soon as more people purchase this card.

WHAT? Technec??? It was YOU I thanked for showing me the light! It's that bad line of code still showing up in the latest release. You found it 6 months back, fixed it and posted... the MP guys never updated it!
