Hauppauge WinTV HVR 3000 UK SAT Tuning? (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

i have the Hauppauge WinTV HVR 3000 and i have managed to get media portal to tune in the FreeView channels in my area, but i dont know what options to select to get it to tune in the Satalite TV, i have plugged the sat cable in to the card and the sat dish is out side etc but in media portal i dont knowwhich satalite to select etc ...

im in the east midlands of the UK is there someone else either fromthis area or from the UK as a whole who could point me in the right direction?

Hi Phil

If you are after UK Free to Air Channels (as received on Freesat plus extras) you need to select the satellite that has Astra 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D 28.2E and Eurobird 1 28.5E. (This is not the exact wording as I am not at my HTPC but should be close enough).

It will take a little while to scan all the transponders. Remember also to scan twice, one during the day and once during the evening if you want both CBeebies and CBBC as well as BBC3 and BBC4 to show as they will only be picked up during their broadcasting hours.
