CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 2800+

Synopsis::

Running the configure/setup mediaportal program results in a complete failure to detect my tv card, saying that no video device is detected.
This is a card which relies on software decoding which I understand is not entirely supported (if at all) - however the list of supported cards specifically lists the Hauppauge Nova-T.
Cheers.

I have the same card. Work very well with MP.

Have you installed the correct Windows drivers (check Device Manager).

Does the card work with Hauppauge's own TV utility (iirc it is called something like WinTV 2000 - should be on the driver CD)

Hi aholdt
thanks for the response.
As I'm running linux at the moment I can't check the specific driver version but I know the card works fine with the Hauppauge software as well as the Technotrend version which I am actually using (as it seemed to work slightly better).
I'll get back later with specifics.
Cheers
