Hey folk,
I like your project and im hoping you can help me with my issue.
I installed my Hauppauge WINTV-USB2 1020 tv tuner card last night. Everything works fine, windows sees the device, and it works with wintv2k software. I fired up media portal configuration and tried to configure my card but mediaportal says that it cannot find the card. I read through the forums and found a few posts about this card and did not see any resolution to speak of. Help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The short answer - if that's the card (and not the PVR version), then I believe you are stuck. See this thread: my old post

I didn't get any replies, but came to the conclusion that all the post about the WINTV-USB2 really meant the WINTV PVR-USB2.

Sorry the news isn't better. Hopefully you can still return the card and get the hardware encoder version.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
