Just stumbled upon MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - Video Background Auto Switcher
basically it puts all skin as an overlay to the current running video/tv. kinda like what you experience in windows MC.
Think this plugin is really awesome and overlooked(?). Unfortunately it could work better with many skins as the text can be somewhat hard to see sometimes. i was just wondering if the plugin has gone by unnoticed or if i was the only one thinking it was cool with moving background.
so in essence the request here is that the feature of a live running background be implemented in the many already excellent skins
