Hello. So I installed media Portal last night. Eh..tonight.
My media files are all on my NAS, completely reachable and browse-able. MediaPortal sees the server and knows there are files there.
HOWEVER it only imports a few of them.
I have 3 folders. There are 2 folders that are DVD iso files. They play but Mediaportal shows me a file name. An example would be,
For.A.Better.Tomorrow.iso shows as just that. NOTHING is imported for it. Speaking of which nothing ever shows ART. Aliens.mp4 shows as 'ALIENS', if I go into the folder.
Any help on ways to fix this would be great.
The second issue is that often. Very often, during the import the found name is wrong. VERY wrong. As in, 'As.Good.As.Dead.iso', imported as "2 Girls" movie. Not a big deal but I cant find anything that tells me how to change incorrect titles.

So there we are. As I said any helpful ideas would be great.
Thanks

    Hello @Edward404,

welcome to the MP forum :).

They play but Mediaportal shows me a file name.
File recognition works on the basis of the respective file name. Please have a look at the section Movie Importer in the Wiki and verify that your file names follow the conventions that are outlined there.

Names need to be unique as per imdb.com. Try renaming 'As.Good.As.Dead.iso' to 'As Good As Dead (2010).iso'. It could be that the dots confuse the importer, but I am just speculating here. You don't need them anyway, so I propose to just leave them out. You might first test if 'As Good As Dead.iso' is importing.

Last not least we alwys require logs in order to help users. Please see Bug Reports and Log Files in the Wiki to understand how to create and collect logs.

    Thank you.
Defiantly nicer than the Kodi forums. :)

Will try the file names and see what happens.
May also be why a large number of them arent importing.
Will fill out the System info in a bit
    Thanks

    Hi. Me again.
    It sorta worked.
Getting more file names but still a number of them wrong. Especially things that are sets. Like Alien. Marks most of them and the predator movies wrong
Is there anyway to edit an entry?

This must be due to your file names. Can you show some examples of non-imported movies please?
