Hi, i'm agree with you, but we are few issue :
  1. We can't force Dev for work on this enhancement
  2. Dev's working hard on the next TV-Engine, we prefer not add many enhancement for now (Globally MP start to a new chapter since 1.3)
  3. don't forget @Developers working on their Free time !

Oh, I didn't want to sound that harsh. I just wanted to know if there is anyone working on this or thinking about. And of course I know developers are sacrificing their free time for MP which I really reslly appreciate!

Your 2nd point: Is there some place I can read more about developement of MP's next TV-Engine?

Why not use Firefox or Opera to display the html content? I think both should be capable. For Firefox exist an plugin.

Well, I sent an e-mail to that institute, but never got an answer. Aren't there any publications out there on how to implement Hbb-TV?

Would love to see this feature.

Some Information about HBBTV since I'm just in progress on programming HBBTV-Web-Pages at my regular job:

Most HBBTV-Devices (TV-Sets) are based on either Opera or Webkit, with Webkit getting more and more popular.

HBBTV-Signal is muxed in the TS as a so-called AIT-Stream. The AIT contains either just a link to a Webpage or a simple start page.
So first this must be demuxed from the stream to get the html code or link.
Then it should be pretty easy to display the page in a Webkit Browser embedded in Mediaportal, since it is mostly standard HTML.
There are some special html object-Tags that need to be supported so you can display the video stream in a little Window in the HBBTV-Webpage or in the background and to playback On-Demand Video-Content (it is mostly mp4).

Sorry no time left to help out on the programming side
