HCWhelper.exe load/fail loop starting cvs-01-09-2006--18-16. (1 Viewer)

Description: the HCWhelper.exe gets into a loop of trying to load, failing and trying to load again on my pc.

I hadn't been keeping up to date with the CVS builds and went to yesterdays and had the problem so I went back to my backup and implemented each CVS build again until I hit the one that the issue first appears. That was mediaportal-cvs-01-09-2006--18-16.rar.

Here's the interesting part of the logfile for MP /w that build.

Seems like the problem is in kernel32.dll and using win2000.
The HCW helper uses SetDllDirectory in kernel32.dll when it
registers the hauppage IR remote dll.

At microsoft, they say this function is available only from win XP sp1 and above.

Not much help, but a reason why it fails...

Well for the time being I can still use the HCWhelper.exe from the 8th and it works with the latest CVS build.
