I have been putting up with not viewing HD channels for some time now but I am now getting a bit fed up and decided to use a day off to look at it a bit more.

BBC1 HD, BBCHD, Channel 4 HD all struggle to get any kind of picture. The pixelation is very severe and even freezes sometimes which then freezes MP as a whole. Curiously, ITV1 HDand NTV World HD are both fine.

I attach the logs plus a screenshot example of the problem. I would be grateful if someone could have a look for me. I am at my wits end.

This looks exactly like the problem caused by ATI CCC version 11.5 and later. Try uninstalling CCC and reinstall version 11.4

As Robbo says try an earlier version. I had this pixelation problem. I eventually went back to 10.4 and have not had a problem since. Your system specs say you are on version 8.92 ?? Uninstall your old driver and reinstall a different one.

You can download 10.4 from >> here <<

One thing to bear in mind is that BBC1 HD, BBCHD and Channel 4 HD are all DVB-S2 whereas ITV HD is DVB-S so there's a hint there. Try updating your tuner drivers?

Does it happen with both your S2 and T2 cards or just one of them?

Or try laf (0.45) with DXVA copy back mode.
I had a similar problem with some channels, also with the 11.4 driver.

Pretty sure my drivers are ok but I will check.

Uninstalled my CCC last night and tried to install 11.4. It just would not install. Clicked on the install button and there was a brief flash as if it was about to do something and then... nothing! I tried waiting it out but after 20 mins decided it was not actually going to do anything. In the end I installed the latest 11.12 which installed like it should but still did not fix the pixellation. Not sure whether I have a corrupt 11.4. I'll download it again and give it another try at the weekend.

    I'll also give 10.4 a shot.

I would like to try laf 0.45 but I have never heard of this. Any idea what it is and where I can get it?
