When Dolby Digital is enabled, the HD-PVR will jitter after a channel change. If you pause for a second or two, it clears up the jitter. I have attached logs...

    Same problems.
Problem has existed since pre-release of MP 1.0 and still exists in latest svn build.

It seems to be a problem with the playback hitting the end timeshift stream.
One thing I justed noticed is that when playing back the portion when a channel change happened my STB on screen diplay of current channel and program is on much shorter then it really is if I was directly viewing from STB. Meaning usually I'll see the onscreen display for about 3 seconds while as the recorded timeshift has the onscreen display for barely 1 seconds.

Another thing is when channel changing the HD-PVR's blue timeshifting led will flicker once or twice.

Problem seems to only exists when using digital audio.

    Logs attached.

I've actually done some more testing and have narrowed it down to using SPDIF. I have the following machines setup...

A - MP Server with HDMI Video/Audio out to receiver. (Using Arcsoft Video & AC3Filter audio codecs)
B - Client with 6 channel speaker outputs to receiver. (Using Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 Video & AC3Filter audio codecs)
C - Client with stereo speaker outputs to TV. (Using Arcsoft Video & MPC audo codecs)
D - Client with stereo speaker outputs to TV. (Using Arcsoft Video & MPC audo codecs)

If I use the SPDIF out's to the receiver on machines A & B, I will see the jitter on channel change. Using the HDMI & Speaker outputs on machines A&B respectively there is no jitter. Machines C & D have never had an issue because they use the speaker outputs.

If any developers are monitoring this thread and would like more information, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

I have the same problem. It only happens when using SPDIF audio. A quick pause/play after changing channels seems to fix it.

This is still an issue. Anybody with any ideas on how to fix this? A quick pause/play does it fix it but shouldn't be required.

    Thanks,
    Clint
