HDR with LAV but without MadVR? (1 Viewer)

I searched several days now but could only find non-working ideas and mostly based on MadVR.
Is there a way to play HDR content with MePo1 without MadVR (too much hassle for me, I think so at least)? I can properly play HDR-content downloaded from YT but if I try to play a HDR movie with Moving Pictures (if this matters) I get output without any contrast at all.
Where can I start?

You could use a different player that handles HDR content but thats more hassle then installing MadVR
