Running 0.2.3.0RC1, did a clean install. I observe heavy disc access once in a while without the HTPC not doing anything.. I checked the taskmanager for strange processes running, did not find any. I run filemon (sysinternals) to find out what files are accessed and by which process. I found out that when this heavy duty appears it is the TVservice.exe tasks reading from TVlibrary.mdf. I do not understand why this is happening, first I thought it might be EPG update. But as I am using TVmovie importer and did not find any write entry to the database it could not be the EPG update. What is causing this heavy load on the database? What is tvservice doing there and how can I find out and resolve this. During these periods of heavy load which seem to last for several mins to half on hour the system performance is down. E.g. opening an explorer window takes up to a minute (while CPU load is low). I guess that these heavy loads are the cause for me having several recordings with stutters and "hickups".
