Just remove the checkbox on "Language contains right to left..." under general->skin...

Worked for me... (as strange at it sounds...)

Is the "Display Language" set to Hebrew ?

I'm using vista sp1 with the "non-unicode" set also to hebrew.

    That's a valid point.

Note 1: If you use an english MP you'd have to edit the strings_en.xml and increase it's font range (copy from your hebrew file).
Note 2: If you use another skin - make sure the fonts they use support the chars you need.

    i have the same problem

it seems that the font is duplicate itself
i'd tried to replace the string_he.xml with one form v1rc3 that work fine and no change
i'd try also to change the font.xml in the skin dir and no change also
i think that the problem start in v1.01

a guide for how to fix the hebrew font problem

    1.
make all windows folders to visible.
control panel->folder option>pick the view tab(the middle)-> in the scroll box scroll down and pick the optin of show files folders and hiden drives-> click on ok.
    2.
    go to
    c:\doc and setting\all users\app data\teammediaportal\mediaportal
    3.
copy the mediaportal.xml file in the attachment to this folder.
    click yes to replace

now the hebrew has to work.
