I tried my best to find and read all the posts and do all the things that they've said for my situation (with the exception of graph editing because I don't really understand what it is and how to do it). Im running an ATI Radeon AIW 9600XT and it's my first time using Mediaportal. When trying to set up the configurations for TV, Mediaportal is unable to detect my 9600, I tried clicking add and I get the "no video capture card(s) detected" warning. Im hoping someone could provide some help, and if I have to do the graph editing I'll do it, but I was hoping that it is just something minor Im missing.

I've also did a fresh update of all the ATI drivers and tried to open the .cab file in the encode install like the support page said, but when I opened the .cab file there was nothing in it.

Thanks for any help given

You need to open the 'CaptureCardDefinitions.xml' file from the MP folder in NOTEPAD and search for the AIW graph construct ; you can modify and save the file with NOTEPAD.

If you open the same file in IE you will see it is now coloured, the grey graph constructs are the ones that have been blocked form usage with MP .

You will need to remove the -<!-- and --> from around the graph constructs that you wish to enable from within NOTEPAD, it is just easier to find the specific graph that is dissabled by the IE view as it is obviously grey.

The specific ATI graphs for MP need the filters that are installed with the ATI encoder 6.6.

WDM 6.5 and previous are the best to use with the ATI AIW cards

Catalyst drivers; I prefere 6.5 driver.

    6.6 and 6.7 driver I would avoid .

6.8 driver is Ok but has some interlacing problems still.
