I seem to have a problem where all episodes seem to disappear from the media centre when I add too many episodes...

Then media portal utterly fails to work: the episodes disappear from the TV SERIES plug-in guy, and all the folders in My Videos plug-in seem empty.

In the Configuration GUI everything seems fine and utterly in order.

The only way I’ve found to solve this is so far is to delete the TV series database file:
"C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\TVSeriesDatabase7.db3"
- As you can see the database file number is 7 as I have had to do this 7 times now. Once this is done the plug-in is as it was when newly installed.

I then import the series 1 by 1 (backing up the database each time). Each time I exit and check that media portal still works. After about 3 or 4 series the whole thing stops working and I either load from backups or start again.

I am running Vista and I’ve had this problem before on a similar machine with the same media and the problem seemed to go away after a reinstall of media portal. That has not worked in this case.

Both computers are Intel core2duo, ~2 GB Ram and plenty of HDD space... i.e. they're not shit.

Weird problem I know but I can't find any threads about it and I’ve had this problem twice now and it's intensely frustrating. I have scoured the configuration and settings and can find nothing that works.

Any help?
:D

    no log file

NO i can't but all the imports seem fine until the media centre is booted up, so i doubt a log file will bring anything up.

Problem has come back... Definitley not about too much episodes going in to it... It seems very strange...

The problem seems to occur randomly and when i replace the database file with a backup it all becomes right again. it's driving me nuts...

Could it have anything to do with the fact that the eps are located over a network??? anyone have the problem with local eps?

My files are stored on a NAS. So i may have something to do with the files being over a network.

But i've found that i can import up to 1000 files then it won't let it import any more.
