Yes it's not a MCE remote, did it have any driver disk supplied with it, as followed your link to website (which shows a driver download ) but none available, then did a google on the model you quoted and was on the website you purchased it from, but nothing showed up.

xefil: Sorry - was not referring to you....

Anyway - since you are using Italian XP, try (cut 'n paste my own post :D):
This worked for me using XP-pro Norwegian:
    1. Install IR-server suite, found in first post here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ir...on-t24849.html
    2. You only need IR Server
    3. Rightclick on tray -> setup -> configure MCE (...) -> Enable all tabs.
... or was that only for keyboard  ... getting old...

EDIT: No, for remote as well... :)

Ok, thank's! I've installed IR-Server Suite, try icon, setup, and enabled BOTH MCE sender and receiver.
Editing advanced options, I'll enable all'tabs.
BTW, trying "Auto-Detect" it dosn't select MCE Remote, but X10.... this why I've installed (to try) x10 drivers, hope this gives not problems.
Then, in MP I'll disable MCE Remote and enable IR-Server (another Tab).
Now I'm not at home, I'll try later.
Hope it's right, btw, have I to map the remote buttons too?
Is there a way to debug the commands, to be shure the selected hardware is sending signals to IR-SERVER?

    Thank's Simone

Sorry, I can't figure out.... Also, step by step:

I've installed IR-SERVER and setup -> enabled Microsoft MCE Receiver and Transmitter.
    Then, pressed configure button and:
BASIC: Disable windows media center (flagged)
REMOTE: Enable Remote Control Input (flagged)
KEYBOARD: Enable Keyboard Input (flagged) & Handle Keyboard locally (flagged)
MOUSE: Enable Mouse Input (flagged) & Handle Mouse locally (flagged)

    MediaPortal Setup:

    Remote: What should I choose?

Plugins: MP Control Plugin for IR Server (enabled)
    Remote Controls: Microsoft MCE

But no changes... I've no idea how map buttons...
    Can you help me?
BTW now I'm not shure what king of Remote I have...
Hope the intro post with product infos could help you to help me :)

    Thank's Simon

It is very hard to help you, when we, or you, don't know what remote you have.

Se if it says IR or RF anywhere. X10 often uses RF - MCE remotes are IR.
