Help configuring ATI Radeon 9500 (1 Viewer)

In Short:
I recently "upgraded" the video card I have in my computer (from: GeForce FX 5200 To: Radeon 9500 Pro/ 9700) but now I can't seem to get MediaPortal to display on my 2nd (TV) display. I have the second display set up as an extended desktop (not clone view) which worked fine with my Geforce but I get nuthin with the Radeon. I am assuming that the Radeon 9500 should work with Mediaportal but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some details:
I can get MediaPortal to work if I set up my second display as a clone but then the menus don't fit on my tv (my TV is 800 x 600 and my computer monitor is 1280 X 1024). I can also get the video to work on my second monitor if I set up MediaPortal to use an external media player (MPC) but then I do not have access to the menus on my second display and my sound and video controls (and a bunch of other stuff) become awkward to access.

A side note:
I just need to say that MediaPortal is the most awesome program on my computer! Every time I use this program I am amazed that it is 1, so awesome and always improving, and 2, that it's free. I spread the work whenever I can. Bravo!!

Anyone?

Come on, there has to be at least one person, in the 45 views this post has gotten, who can offer up some sort of suggestion. I know it seems like a simple problem I've got but trust me, I basically know my way around a computer and a program and I can't figure it out. This is driving me nuts.

I refuse to believe that this video card can't work properly with mediaportal since a much cheaper one worked fine.

Please, is there anyone out there who can at least offer me up some suggestions? Am I the only one with this problem?

I have little experience with dual monitor and MP, but what CAT driver do you have installed. Get 9.9 if you haven't yet .

EDIT: Actually, your card may not be supported anymore as it's quite old, but not sure. I haven't used a 9700 in ages.

thanks buddman. Yeah, I think you may be right. When I try to download 9.9 I get an error, something to rhe effect of, "no supported hardware on this system."

I thought it might be an outdated hardware but wasn't sure. Thanks for the confirmation.
