So let me just check this:
- a quad LNB has 4 independent outputs
- a quattro LNB has one output for each band
Is that right?
To test with a multimeter, find something metal that is grounded (maybe a toaster?). Plug it in next to the computer. Turn on the multimeter and set it to the DC 2000mV (or similar) range - you may need to adjust up or down, but that is a good place to start. Attach the red probe to the PC case and the black probe to the toaster (ground). If the reading is too large then increase the range to 20V or whatever is the next step up. If the reading says 0, reduce the range until you see a reading. You should also check the reading on the satellite cable connector...
