Help Disecq setup (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the disecq ad motor stab.

Using the engine stab but I can not configure it properly to make it move. I saw the wiki but it does not give any explanation, can 'someone help me and tell me how to configure it properly?

Starting from Hotbird signal where I do the scanning, then select another satellite (for example Astra) but the motor does not move. What's wrong?

I am struggling to understand your post.
You can only control a motor with certain TV cards. The cards must support raw DiSEqC commands. If you can't get your motor to move with the commands in the motor tab then it is possible that your TV card doesn't support this.

What kind of card are you using?

Thanks for the reply this is my card "TECHNISAT SS2 HD USB"

TechniSat SkyStar USB HD [4109/3734]



With other programs like ProgDVB or Dvbdream works very well.
Maybe something wrong in the setup of TV SERVER,the wiki does not help me.

Hi again

I think you'll need to provide logs. TV Server only supports 4 port DiSEqC 1.0 switching with some SS2 devices. I need the logs to tell me whether your SS2 supports more than that. Please:

1. Open TV Server configuration.
2. Click "open log directory" in the top left hand corner.
3. Zip up all the files you find there.
4. Post the zip file here.

Even if TV Server doesn't support motor control with your device, there may be a way to add support. We'll have to see the logs first though...

Does the motor ever move at all if you use the motor tab in TV Server configuration?

Hello again and thanks for your cooperation ...
In TV server configuration the engine is not moving,starting from hotbird (store position 1)I detect the signal but when I change satellite (for example astra- store position 2) tells me tuner looked and I i have no signal.

Hi again

You have to store the positions within TV Server. You can't just use positions already stored in your motor. So the procedure is:

1. Select satellite.
2. Select transponder for checking lock status.
3. Select the movement step size.
4. Use the move buttons to move the motor to the correct position.
5. Click "store position".
6. Go back to the scanning tab and scan the full set of transponders for the satellite.
7. Repeat 1-6 for each satellite position.

So to be very clear: you need to use TV Server to find and store the positions.
