In short: create a directory for the fanart, mine (windows XP) is located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Fan Art
Put the correct fanart files in there. They have to start with the series ID.
Read up on the documentation of your skin files if you need to edit/replace/add something.
Done.
(You don't configure it from the plugin configuration...)
I put the one fanart for House and works great, but I copied another for Lost and it's not shown, what could be the problem.
Also, Now I have a problem with the tv logos (HD, 16:9, etc), I have configured them by copying some of them posted here in the forum, but they don't show at all.
I read that I have to create a folder called MPTVSeriesLogos en the thumb folder, but nothing happen also
Any suggestion ?
An update for the logo problem
I have installed Monochrome skin and followed the installation instructions, imported the logo rules and then the logos started to appear, but not all, the ones that I wanted, (like HD, 16:9 and 5.1 sound) don't appear and they are in the rules.
Does it need any kind of special configuration?
Thanks
Did you add (for the logo's) the correct logo rules (in the TVSeries config screen) or formatting rules?
Does the Lost fanart begin with the correct series ID? (there is some sort of naming convention and a large FanArt download pack, just do a search on this forum)
Just in case you did not see that I have udpdated the previous post...

About the fanart of Lost, yes, I checked the ID in the file with the one in the Plugin configuration and they are the same
I have fixed the logos problem, it was because I haven't got the mediainfo.dll in the plugins/window folder. I donwloaded and it fixed the problem.
The fanart problem remains thought...
I have 4 png images, Lost, House, Heroes and Californication. They all start with the corresponding TV ID but House it's the only serie that shows the fanart.
Any ideas ?
Well, I have fixed the fanart problem
It was because I was placing the images in the wrong directory, there should be placed in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Program Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\fan art
