So I dove into the world of <a href="http://www.dvblogic.com/products.php" target="_blank">DVBLink</a>.</p><p></p><p>DVBLink has a product called <a href="http://www.dvblogic.com/tvsource.php" target="_blank">DVBLink TVSource</a> which provides full integration within Windows Media Center 7. It allows you to connect an unlimited amount of DVB-C, DVB-T and DVB-S devices to your PC and watch television using those in WMC7. They also have a product called <a href="http://www.dvblogic.com/netpack.php" target="_blank">DVBLink Server Network Pack</a>. This is very much like Team Media Portal. Its a server component which talks to the hardware tuners and streams the TV/radio signals to an unlimited number of Windows Media Center 7 clients. It contains some nifty stuff like a web based EPG out of the box, streaming to any UPNP supported application or hardware device and even live video transcoding to view live TV over the internet on any pc or cellphone. And again, with full integration support within Windows Media Center 7. Works like a charm.</p><p></p><p>So now I have installed DVBLink Network Pack on my server and I have configured Team Media Portal TVServer to use the four emulated DVB-S tuners of DVBLink as its own tuners. This allows me to use both Windows Media Center 7 and Team Media Portal client to watch live TV and listen to digital radio. Superb!</p><p></p><p>Since all seemed to work well so I decided to buy a Terratec USB H5 DVB-C/DVB-T tuner to accompany my already present Terratec PCI DVB-C tuner. The installation was done before I knew it. Amazing. And it works like a charm. Though, after two days.. blue screens of death again! Argh! This occurred with the latest v5.09.1202.00 driver. I now switched to the previous driver v5.09.0813.00 and all is running well for 24 hours already. Let's hope it will stay like this. Its important to mention that the emmon.exe application that comes with the driver must be running when using the tuner. Because it's USB, it allows for easy expansion with extra tuners for just about 75 euro a piece! Nice.</p></blockquote><p></p>
