    Hi again

So the two problem channels are here:

    OMNI CALGARY Freq:-1 ONID:0 TSID:16405 SID:2 PMT:0x20 FTA:True LCN:10000 phys:38 maj:38 min:1 mod:Mod8Vsb
    Citytv CALGARY Freq:-1 ONID:0 TSID:16405 SID:2 PMT:0x20 FTA:True LCN:10000 phys:49 maj:5 min:1 mod:Mod8Vsb

    To create the 38-1 channel:

    1. Go to TV Channels list.
    2. Click add.
    3. Enter channel name at top.
    4. Click add.
    5. Select ATSC and click OK.
    6. Enter (in order): 38, 0, 38, 1, 8 VSB, 0, 16405, 2, 32, (can be blank), tick

Note that this provider is not adhering to ATSC or DVB rules, so one or both of these channels will get messed up again if you rescan. Also, the frequency may need to be -1 but TV Server won't let you enter that. If you find that 0 doesn't work then let me know and I can provide a patch that allows you to enter -1.

I know you can't save the tuning detail with -1, but if you save with 0 can you view the channel in MediaPortal - that is the question. Please could you clarify.

Okay, you'll have to delete all the ATSC channels. The way to get the data linked correctly is to:

    1. Scan in the channels with TV Server.
1.5. For you, create the 38-1 channel manually.
    2. Rename the TV Server channels to *exactly* match the call signs in Schedules Direct. Fastest way is to click on the channel in the TV Channels section, then click again after a second or so to edit the name.
    3. In Schedules Direct settings turn off matching by channel number, don't allow Schedules Direct to create channels, and then enable force guide import/refresh on restart.
    4. Restart the TV Server.

I'm going to be unavailable for the next few hours so just in case you need it, here is a replacement SetupTv.exe that will allow you to enter -1. Just close TV Server configuration and extract the attached exe over the one in your TV Server install directory. I'll try and get this fixed in a full release ASAP.

I got 38 working with guide data. Every time I rename the others, they get switched back. I unchecked allow epg channel mapping by channel number only, and forced a guide update.

You have to delete them to break the original mappings. Once a mapping is formed it can't be broken, which is why I said:

Okay, you'll have to delete all the ATSC channels.

some videos crash media portal, says stopped working.
That is caused by the mp4 splitter that you're using. From your system event log:

    "08/10/2011 1:27:36 AM";"Application Error";"Application Crashing Events";"Error";"Faulting application name: MediaPortal.exe, version: 1.2.1.0, time stamp: 0x4e7d7278 Faulting module name: mc_demux_mp4_ds.ax, version: 8.5.0.14265, time stamp: 0x4b81cf98 Exception code: 0xc000000d Fault offset: 0x00032a9b Faulting process id: 0x1794 Faulting application start time: 0x01cc858ba524a5f7 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Desktop\Codecs\mc_demux_mp4_ds.ax Report Id: fe18d612-f17e-11e0-aed0-20cf30bdb5ab";"1000"

Solution: uninstall that splitter and use a different one. Many people recommend LAV these days.

I have 3/6 of atsc working with guide.

I am going to delete the other 3 and try again. I think I am turning off the wrong option in schedulers direct plugin to stop renaming the channel.

    What exactly is it called?

Lav worked, so all movies working.

    Just a few more tweaks.

    Thanks

Maybe check the settings in the "Channel Naming" area: untick "Rename existing channels and logos to new name format" or select one of the formats that works for you (ie. {number} {callsign}, {number} {name}, or {name} {affiliate}). Further than that I'm not sure I can help. I've never used SD so anything I tell you is coming from looking at the code not any personal experience.

    Excellent. :)

Tried again and no luck, it wants to use the cable channel number.

Can I use the guide data from another channel, similar to wm7?

Where else can I get guide data from?

I have another issue with choppy video on my atsc channels. Codecs? I am using the Microsoft dtv codec.

    Thanks
