Help! My Importer has gone CRAZY! (1 Viewer)

Well no, we are back to you entering data into the db itself, which as I said makes no promises to keep anything sticky.

You can enter metadata via the config, this way is supported and it should stick (you'll notice it puts those manually entered things into different columns). For graphics....well there is no support for this in the config (last I checked), so one unsupported way to try (I have no idea if htis will work even though I wrote the code to make user edits stick) is to manually create a column with the same naming format as the other ones created by the config, and try to put things there.

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid your out of luck.

I GIVE UP!!!! I am sooooo ^%@!&!ing ticked off right now, I can't see straight =(

I have had to enter in my graphics files over 2 dozen times now! I am SICK of it! Why the hell it wont stick is beyond me!!!!

I am not mad or upset with MP or TVSeires... just in how the situation is. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too! I now have over 150 sports games/specials that I have taken MANY hours to create banners, VS Posters, Game Screenshots, and Fan Art for, and it was all for nothing =( MP looks so beautiful until you get into my sports section (about 50% of my TVSeries viewing if not 60%) section and then BOOM ugliness on a grand scale.

I know this is my problem, and I have to deal with it, but I am bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like this... maybe even a bit OCD about it if you ask a few people... so this is HUGE problem for me.

I think you should create a issue on the tracker for this and request this "enhancement"

OCD, remember? =) But you are right, I just thot that if I stayed out of the config, everything would be okay. Silly me =(

Just a thought: You could try to add your sports games to thetvdb.com. Don't know if it is against the rules though...

Ya, Luca.... I wish I could... then I would be a happy camper..... and so would anyone else that likes to keep sports games. I understand their reasoning.. they dont have the correct fields for retaining sports data. But that is not what we want.... we want our sports games to be treated just like a TV Series/Episode. NFL is the Series... 2011 is the Season... the week is the Episode. The summary would be a good place for any data you want and the "Guest Stars" could even be used as way to say who the top athletes were for that game. Say for a particular Cowboys game you could use |Tony Romo|Felix Jones|Dez Bryant| or maybe to was |Jon Kitna|Marion Barbar|Miles Austin| who had the good numbers. If we were allowed to do just that... EVERYONE would be happy. I have seen this issue brought up a number of times both here in the MP forums and thetvdb forums.
