Hi, Can anyone help? I originally posted in General, but got no replies, so I'll try it here.

With latest version of MP, 1.2.2, I get an unwanted 'overlay' on all images of cover art. This is like a 'haze', but with a denser curved area over the top left hand corner. It obscures the cover art.

How do I get rid of it?

Appears on two computers, as below and on a Dell Zino with AMD Phenom 4 processor, running Win 7 Home Premium SP1.

Have searched Wiki and Fora without success.

Any help welcome. If I am missing somnething obvious, please tell me and accept my apologies!!

    Resolution on monitor/tv?
    Theme?
Tested different drivers for graphic card?
    Try another skin?
Does images show correctly outside MePo on same computer?

I really have no idea, just guessing..

    Thanks, 4Fred,

Don't think these are reasons as :

Same effect on TWO different systems, with different:
    Processors (AMD and Intel)
    Win 7 version
    Resolution (one 720p, one 1080p)
    graphics cards

In both cases, images show OK in Windows Viewer, Nikon View NX2, etc.

It seems as if there is a 'blank image' placeholder that is set to be at the front, so any image doesn't overlay it fully.

    Thanks, though,

I think this is the skin which applies this overlay. Not sure how you amend this but you would need to amend the skin xml files.

    Thanks,

But this is the 'standard skin' which comes with MP, not a 'third party' one!

Surely this cannot be the norm?

No it is not. But there must be something that you do when you install MePo... Exactly what are you installin besides Windows and then MePo. Codecs, applications what? There just must be something...

    Hi,

Various other programs on main one (Inspiron 580), as on most computers, but nothing 'out of the ordinary'. The Zino has very little added apart from Internet Explorer, Firefox, McAfee, Acrobat Viewer and Nikon ViewNX-2. No extra codecs.

I still wonder if I am missing an option somewhere, but I can't find one!

I believe this is part of the default skin (rounds edges and IIRC has the top let corner with a more pronounced overlay?)

Can you post a screen shot ?

Yes,Your description is correct. It does seem to come with standard screen, and shows most clearly when there is no cover art present on a 'MP' background. However, it is still there when art is added, and is rather annoying, especially for a 'pastel' cover.

Is there any way to remove or is it standard?

Tried to add screen shots as jpg, not sure if it will work. Here goes:

    Thanks,

Adding photos through 'Insert Image' button didn't seem to work. Any recommendations?

Could e-mail jpg files if you want, but would need an address for you
