Help Scanning for channels QAM/Comcast (1 Viewer)

When in TV Server I can scan for analog channels just fine on this card. But when searching for QAM channels on the ATSC/QAM tuner using a Comcast cable connection it doesn't find any. I have selected the check box to find QAM versus ATSC. This card finds about 300 QAM channels using WinTV (application that came with the card).

My question is, maybe I'm using the wrong QAM search type. Which one should I be using? QAM HRC +3, QAM HRC, QAM IRC, QAM Standard?? etc

Also, I saw on one of the threads that I might need to install a patch to get it to scan channels? I'm just not sure if I need the patch for this card, or just select a different QAM type to search by.

QAM search type depends on your provider.
You'll have the providers frequencies and match it to the appropriate QAM file.

I also have a Hauppauge HVR-1250 and I am having a similar problem.
- MP thinks I have a Hauppauge 885
- When I try to scan for ATSC or QAM I do not find any channels
- However when I scan for analog channels I do find channels, but because of the way the Hauppauge HVR-1250 is made its analog quality looks like poo.

I know is is not a solution to your problem, but just know that you are not alone.
