Hi

Just found this product today and been trying to add my TV Card in the CaptureCardDefinition.xml file. I have managed to add an entry which the configuration tool picks up. When I click add to insert my TV Card, I get Unable to create graph for this device. I am then able to add it but if I try to run the setup wizard in the program, it shows my tv card, I can then choose my location but then the program crashes asking if I want to send the error report to Microsoft.

I have attached the picture from graphedit and also the config I used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

I got help from the Media Portal team to get this working and they provided a solution. If you use the attached xml file it should do the trick.

Hi,

I cant seem to get this setup in dual tuner mode. I have done it successfully in the "diversity" mode. But then mediaportal only thinks it is one tuner and not dual tuner. I can find all channels etc for this one tuner mode in media portal. I use a roof mounted aerial. HOWEVER, if i use the diversity tool to change the stick to dual tuner mode, mediaportal will allow me to add both cards now, but when scanning it finds nothing. Any ideas?

Please help as I bought this card hoping to get it working as a dual tuner in mediaportal.

I have MP 0.2.3 RC1 and with SVN from 28th August 2007. I have also tried the card definitions file attached but it still wont find any channels when scanning. Only finds when in single tuner diverity mode.

Many thanks,
Colin

Apologies. Despite me having a roof aerial connected to one tuner and the supplied small indoor aerial connected to the other, it wouldn't work. However, I went and bought a signal booster/splitter so that I could use one roof aerial for both tuner connections and now it picks up channels on both tuners! Strange it didn't pick up on the first tuner which was always connected the roof aerial.

Need to check if watching one channel and recording another works.....

The updated file is already there, chances are the hardware ID for your card has changed, now you can either go down the route of adding it yourself as per here Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

    or

Restart installer and select you do want to use TVServer and that can auto detect your card as long as the drivers are installed.

    Hi,

    I did so.

First I applied the dvb patch but somehow it did not work, maybe because of files being in use, I dunno. On restart the system hung up and I ended with 12 PsisDecd.dll files on /system32.
So I manually backed up the old ones and copied there these news ones. In this way TV Server does not complain again.

Then TVServer did recognize the (dual) card and I scanned all channel on them both. Channels appear, both video and radio, on both tunners.

But when I get back to MP configuration, under 'Television>capture cards>add' I get again the "No video capture card(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card".

    What am I doing wrong?

    regards,

Seems like you installed the single-seat MP on top of TV-Server. That's not gonna work :)

Uninstall MediaPortal and do an advanced install and select the Client
