Help! TV Picture freeze but sound continues (1 Viewer)

For all ATI-owners:

The new Catalyst 8.12 has a fix called "- Fix for: HD video file playback may cause the operating system to stop responding.". I will give it a try on the weekend, perhaps you can also test it!

DXVA does work with Catalyst 8.12 WITHOUT freezes!

My system is still suffering from frozen picture while watching TV. The sound carries on but MP is completely unresponsive and the system has to be rebooted. TVServer seems to carry on recording quite happily in the background though if there is a recording going on.

I'm using nVidia, so the Catalyst bugs and fixes don't apply.

The picture froze last night at a bit before 22:10. The odd thing is that there don't seem to be any entries in the logs for that time. I'll post the logs here in case anyone has any ideas.

I don't watch a lot of live tv on my system, but just found I got the same problem here.

I'm also running nVidia.

Had to restart whole system twice today...Again no logs available from this fault.
