    Hi gemx.

    I have a new one ;)

This time it is a bit weird.

When the TvService is restarted. And I try to tune RTL2 or VOX (via DVB-S), timeshift is running but I only get a black screen without sound. No matter if I use TV On/Off... both Channels are not tune able.
But as soon as I tune a different (working) channel (like ZDF)... and then to one of the both channels above all is working perfectly... as long as the TvService is restarted.

    Please find the attached log.
    It was done by
    • Starting the TvService
    • Tune to RTL2
    • Tune to a working channel
    • Tune to RTL2 again

Today I have updated my installation to 17398 and scan doesn't find any channel. I reverted to TsWriter.ax from 17383 and everything is back again.

BTW, on HotBird 13°E first two transponder have a freq = 0.

EDIT: forgot to add log ;)

    Hi Gemx
Following all difficulties last week, I went back to SVN 17352 and did a channel scan, both dvb-S & T.
Yesterday (Saturday) ITV and channel 4 dvb-T was still very poor, today (Sun) reception has returned to normal, without a scan.
Have updated to SVN 17378 & play back is still fine, looks to me as though problem was with output, as you said.

    Update:

I tested with TsWriter from 17384 and I have "No Signal"/"Nothing found" on 1st tp and then it loop forever in the scan on the 2tp. So it seems that the unnecessary CallBack is needed at least here in Italy.

    Simone

BTW, at least for 13°E Hotbird the ini files need to be updated because of the 0 freq error previously reported and some freq changes. I fixed it using the update satellite button in TV3 scan window.

    Hi gemx.

As promised yesterday on irc I've repeated my test with the 17405.
The "vox at first tune"-problem I have mentioned here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ng-new-tswriter-34389/index17.html#post236076
    is gone now. Good work.

What is still there is effect that the card order of my tv cards make a big difference.
I would like to use my TechnoTrend Card as secondary, because the Hauppauge is much more reliable... but If I do so, the TT generates only 0kb recordings if the primary card (the Hauppauge) is also busy (i.e. timeshifting).
When I configure the TT to be the primary card then everything works...

I can generate logs if you are interested, but I guess they will contain the information as the ones I have posted here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...revision-17345-a-35105/index3.html#post233382

    gemx,

with 17406 everything is working fine here. Only small issue I found is that using the DVBViewer for FloppyDTV-S2 I can scan 2006 total channels on Hotbird 13°E, using TV3 1839 ( tv:1390, radio:449).

It seems that some of them are missing or maybe merged together. Is there a quick way to extract channels from DVBViewer so I can compare the two lists and report back what is missing ?

@ikuech: Maybe your TV card order issue is connected with this:

I've updated to version 17397 at the weekend and I'm using a Hauppauge PVR-500 (double tuner analogue) and a FireDTV S2. The FireDTV is the third card shown in TV-Server after the two analogue tuners.
Before updating to version 17397, the rtsp stream of the FireDTV on the TV-Server could always be found at ".../Stream3.0" (I guess because it's the (1-1). Stream on the third card.

Now the stream is at ".../Stream1.0" although the card order didn't change. I can't try locally because I'm not at home atm. I'm using the server over a VPN, which is why I modified gemx' MPTvClient a little bit to transcode the stream on the server side with vlc server to a lower bandwidth. When I use MPTv-Client without my transcoding, streaming would work, if my internet connection wasn't too slow, because MPTvClient gets the stream-name from the server. I noticed the change, because my transcoding didn't work anymore. In this case I don't get the stream-name from the server, as it is stored in the vlm.txt file on the server's hd.

Maybe the stream-name of your card is also Stream 1.0 although it should be 2.0 as second card?!? Should be in your streaming-server.log.

    cheers,
    Michael

MJGraf: Thanks for your explanation. The problem I have does create 0kb recordings on the Technotrend card. So the streaming part of the server should normally not be involved.
But I'll check the Stream numbers just to get sure.
