Area: Media Portal Program MP Version: 0.2 RC4 Skin: all Windows Version: XPSP2 CPU Type: AMD Athlon 3000+ Memory: 512 Motherboard Chipset: dont know Video Card: FX5700 Video Card Driver: latest Video Card Resolution: does not matter Video Render Type: VMR9 Video Codec Type & Version: all Audio Codec Type & Version: all TV Card: no TV Card Type: TV Card Driver: Optional References: "Nothing will be rendered. The reference rendering device was selected, but your computer only has a reduced-funcionality reference device installed.. " Synopsis: Video freezes ----------------------------------------------------------------- No matter which codec I use or which mediatype. When watching movies the video suddenly freeezes. This could happen after just some minutes or an hour. I can hear the "click" noise when hitting a key, but the screen does not react. the still picture is displayed. When using VNC to remotly connect I can call the task manager and kill MP.. normally then the desktop appears. Restart of MP is possible but it complains that the rendering device is not available (see above). So I asume it is something with DirectX. I checked several drivers for my video card, changed memory modules.. Dont know what to do else.. The way it freeezes seem to me like a hardware issue.. something in the commuication gets corrupted and the video system freeees.. Anyone an idea? Please...
