Help with Beginner Computer (1 Viewer)

I am a newbie to MP and wanting to build my first media server. Looking to start with a used PC I can get pretty cheap, but would like your opinion on the existing setup and comments on what should be upgraded. Here's a link to the system:

i think you need to get more information on the specific system that you can get.
Examples:

Minimum memory 256 MB
Maximum memory 4 GB

Video Type AGP 8X

How much memory?
Which video card?
HDD capacity?

2 GB PC3200 DDR RAM
ATI Radeon X800 XL 256M AGP
Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz with Hyperthreading
Soundblaster Live
1 X 40 GB Western Digital PATA IDE
1 X 40 GB IBM PATA IDE
1 X CD-RW
Built-in Network card
6 USB

unsure about the video card. Looks like it supports DirectX 9.0b.
Our requirements just mention DirectX 9, so it should be fine, but maybe someone else with more GPU/directx knowledge can confirm?

Hi there,

Is this going to be a server or a client (where the TV connects)?

If its a server, then the graphics dont really matter.

If its a client, I would say the graphics will struggle.

The disks might be an issue if timeshifting and recording?
