I am trying to setup a kworld dvb-s 100 pci card to receive freesat in uk.
If I use bundled 'hypermedia'(!) software then i can scan and receive stations.
I am unable to get any results when scanning in MP. The device is shown in MP as DigiGo DVBS BDA Tuner/Demod, but in win7 device manager it displays two conexant devices (2388x AVS Video Capture (DVB-S) & 2388x Device).
Is this card not compatible with MP or is it a question of finding correct driver?
I have done loads of hunting for solution, but I cannot find any resolution. Borrowed good sat meter, & signal at PC is good. Also I can watch freesat via bundled software. So it seems to be how it integrates with MP.
As a noob to DVB-S any help appreciated. :)

Edit: i have downloaded and installed what are descibed as BDA drivers from kworld site (V6.0.1020.4).
Under driver details it shows BdaSup.sys file, so I suspect this is correct drive.
Could someone point me in the right direction to allow MP to recognize this driver? With thanks

    Hi Andy,

Unfortunately, it isn't one I am familiar with so I can't offer much help.

Is this the first Freesat card you have tried with MP? Do you have access to another DVB-S card to try out?

There is a thread about a similar problem >>here<<

Also another thread that doesn't help much >>here<<

Thanks for your reply. I've got a DVB-S2 card on order that is on the compatible hardware list, so I'll put the kworld card on back burner for now.
Am keen to get this working at some stage, so I'll follow up the links you posted. I can't beleive I didn't see those while doing research!

    Thanks again for your help

    Andy
