Hi there,
I am hoping somebody can help me troubleshoot my MP setup. I am using comcast digital cable as an input source over a Hauppauge WinTV 950Q on XP Pro. I know clear QAM channels are broadcast because my TV tuner can pick them up. However, my PC card only gets a handful of them. When I watched a new scan closely after clearing all channel info, I noticed that on certain channels, the scan would find updated channels but no new ones. These "updated" channels correspond to the channels my TV tuner receives, so it must be the proper signal. However, since they're not "new" channels, they don't get added to the channel list.
I tried manually adding them by putting in the proper frequency and service ID (I made up a TransportID). After mapping it to the card, I get the "Unable to start graph" error. Is this because I made up the TransportID? If so, how can I find out the proper value?
Can anybody help me? I don't want to pay $100 for a program like SageTV or BeyondTV. Thanks!
