I am having issues with my HD PVR 1212 from Hauppauge (works with windows and the software that came with it). At first I was able to see it in TV-Server. I could not map any channels to it. My other 150 was still working. Then it came up as HP Crossbar and another HD PVR Tuner. I still could no map any channels to all 3 cards now. After loading drivers and other software I can not even see my HD PVR 1212 anymore or my wintv150. For some reason I can not load wintv 7 or 7.1 from Hauppauge website. It states to put in the original disk and i do, then nothing. i have looked and looked around the net and mp and really no luck. i have seen people say they have it working but have some other problems but no diagram or map or anything to show how. Any out there with knowledge of it please let me know. I have 2 of the boxes for my 2 htpcs which i would love it get working with MediaPortal. Works fine with the PC but just not MediaPortal.

    Hi there,

I just noticed your post... are you still having issues?

Your spec says you have the latest driver... so the hdpvr is using 1.5.6.1?

Are you using SchedulesDirect to populate your guide data? If not, how are you getting channels created?

Are you using the ir-blaster that came with the hdpvr? I had some issues with it... ymmv. I ended up using the USB-UIRT and IRSS to configure the blaster.

Fear not! We'll get this going for you!

    Cheers.

Thanks for responding. I finally did get it to work properly! I am using IRSS, com port to usb w/directv.exe, & Schedules Direct. For some reason when I switched to the HDPVR from the PCI card SD gave me problems. I could see what was on DTV but couldn't use the TV guide in MP to change channels. Then I came to where I couldn't even map the channels to the HDPVR or the other card. The one thing I read on SD forum I believe is where I read it. Someone said to change your password on SD even if its the same password but you just went through that process. Also I changed some of my line up. After that it started to work! I was so happy especially since I have another one to setup. Now when I go to a new channel sometimes it will start out of sync but then sync right back up. Doesn't happen all the time but just odd since the current system I would think has enough power to handle it. Probably need to tweak the codecs. Once again thanks for responding. I started to think no one was using it or got it to work with MP since it was hard to find info on it.

I have disabled my PCI card in MP but I was wondering if I enabled it again could I use it as a dual tuner? Record some thing say with the HDPVR while watching some thing with PCI tuner? I only have one DTV box in the room so probably not, just realized that. Unless you or anyone knows different.

    Thanks :D for the reply

Interesting way to "kick" SchedulesDirect into working again... glad it worked out.

The audio sync is almost certainly a playback issue rather than the recording.... take a look at the SAF stuff in the codecs section... Prior to using SAF, I was using the Arcsoft codec that came with the hdpvr... I prefer the SAF, personally.

Sometimes, I get audio sync at the very beginning of the recording for like 2 seconds but that's more than acceptable for me.

As for the second tuner, I think you've already figured out that it won't work unless you have an antenna or something as a source or a second settop box for your direct tv.

I know that was a strange way to do it w/SD, but thats what I found on their site. I thought it was kinda funky but hey what can I say. I use SAF but I will double check to make sure the ArcSoftware didn't do something to my settings. Thanks for that part. I will look into that.

Just picked up a HD PVR 1212 and am trying to set it up, I have the latest drivers installed drivers 1.5.7.2 and for the life of me I cannot get it to pull channels at all or get the ir blaster. Ive got the component cables going out from my cable box to the in on the PVR then the whole thing is connected via the supplied usb cable, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I found this guide https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...l-support-hauppuage-hd-pvr-45382/index59.html post number 581. Looked it over to try and figure this out, but I dont know if it is even aplicable seeing as how it is from 2009 and I all ready have a h.264 codec installed. I will keep hunting, any assistance you all could provide to get the HD PVR working would be greatly appreicated, if you need any more information from me just let me know. Thanks guys.
